I had taken some video with my Blackberry and transferred it to my pc to view, crop & send off to friends. Upon trying to play it back I got video but no sound. Looking at the file file I saw it had a .3gp extension which I had never heard of before. I knew that I would need to convert it to an .avi, .mov or something else so that it could play correctly on my pc running Windows 7 64-bit.

You may already know of programs that convert media such as Nero or Super, there are just so many out there.
